Marshall Curry '92

Marshall Curry ‘92 is an Academy Award-winning filmmaker who writes and directs both fiction and documentary films.

He won the Oscar for The Neighbors' Window, a short narrative film that he wrote and directed. He was previously nominated three times for his documentary films, Street Fight, If a Tree Falls: A Story of the Earth Liberation Front and A Night at the Garden. His other award-winning documentaries include Racing Dreams; The New Yorker at 100; and Written By: A Week Inside the SNL Writers Room. 

Curry has won a Peabody, been nominated for three Emmys and two WGA awards, and won top honors at Sundance and Tribeca. 

Miriam G. Harris '94

Miriam has dedicated her career to public‑private real estate development that strengthens New York’s economy and built environment. As Senior Vice President of Transit Oriented Development at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, she leads efforts that fund transit expansion, accessibility, and resiliency through the creation of new housing and job centers. Previously, at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, she executed real estate transactions to deliver major civic projects, including the Cornell Tech campus. She began her career at Forest City Ratner Companies, contributing to the revitalization of 42nd Street and the build out of Battery Park City. A proud Swarthmore graduate, she also holds advanced degrees from Harvard and the University of Chicago. 

David Kamin '02

Kamin has served in the White House and on three presidential transition teams. Most recently in government, Kamin served as Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of the National Economic Council under President Biden from inauguration until May 2022, helping to coordinate economic policy response to the pandemic and policy on infrastructure, energy, tax, budget, and other areas. Kamin also served in President Obama's administration from 2009 to 2012, with roles including Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy. 

Kamin has written on a wide range of topics in both the popular press and journals including taxation of capital and high-income Americans, industrial policy, retirement security, budget projections and trade-offs, and budget process.

Yvonne Lui '95

Yvonne Lui, MD is a practicing neuroradiologist and leads a world-renown medical imaging research division with a federal grant portfolio of over $30M in annual funding. At NYU, she serves as collaboration lead for major academic-industry partnerships with Siemens Healthineers and Facebook AI Research. In 2017, as the inaugural associate chair of AI, she built an innovative program in machine learning for medical imaging. Her research uses MRI as an in vivo microscope to understand neurological health and disease. She is past President of the New York Roentgen Society and the American Society of Neuroradiology.
