Crum creek in spring

Simultaneously recognizing the Crum Woods at Swarthmore College as a great natural resource and the many existing threats to its integrity as a functional ecosystem, the Crum Woods Stewardship Committee, on behalf of the entirety of Swarthmore College, has invested in the development of The Crum Woods Restoration and Stewardship Plan. The specific intention is to identify a clear and actionable pathway to re- storing the ecosystem functionality and resultant benefits to Swarthmore College and the larger community.

Since 2016, students in the President’s Sustainability Research Fellowship (PSRF) have worked with the Crum Woods Stewardship Committee to support the protection, restoration, and stewardship of the Crum Woods. These students have created many useful reports and plans to document their efforts or to address specific questions. View these reports below.
