Gustavo Schwed '84
Gustavo “Gus” Schwed ’84 is a professor of management practice at New York University’s Stern School of Business, where he has received the Distinguished Teaching Award and has twice been named Professor of the Year. He has also taught as a visiting professor at Princeton University. Before entering academia, Schwed was a managing director at Providence Equity Partners and at Morgan Stanley, and he has served on numerous corporate and nonprofit boards, including Oliver Scholars, which supports high-achieving underserved students in New York City.
Schwed earned a B.A. in economics with high honors from Swarthmore and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. He is married to Lucy Harrington '85.
