Learn more about Swarthmore:

Affordability

Our financial aid decisions meet 100% of determined need, and consist of grants (which do not need to be repaid) and the expectation that students will work in a part-time campus-based job. Although our financial aid decisions are loan-free, your family might choose to borrow a loan to pay some educational expenses. The average net price for tuition, room, board and fees was just over $15,000 for transfer students last year.

Transfer Process

We want to make the credit transfer process seamless and transparent. Transfer students from community colleges automatically receive a fee waiver when applying to Swarthmore, and as many credits as possible are transferred to recognize the work you have already done in college. Graduate Success

Swatties write award-winning opera librettos, design telescopes, manage operations and scouting for a Major League Baseball team, restore endangered languages in the Panamanian rainforest, and develop new tools to revolutionize eye surgery. Their success is rooted in Swarthmore's mission of advancing the common good through intellectual discovery.
