Philosophy Major, Nina Sablan '27, presented their paper "How, according to Spinoza, is happiness achieved?" at the 2026 GPPC conference, April 18.
Philosophy Major, Jamie Zhang '27, presented their paper "A Justification of Marx's Position on Rights" at the 2026 GPPC conference, April 18.
Philosophy Minor, Maddy Posner '28, presented their paper "Cruel Optimism and the Good Life:  Where Spinoza, Berlant, and Rooney Meet" at the 2026 GPPC conference, April 18.
Philosophy Major, Duncan Wall '26, will have his Senior French Horn Recital on Saturday, Feb 28, at 3:00pm in Lang Music Concert Hall.

Mar 12 — Professor Picascia will participate in the Asian Philosophical Traditions lecture series presented by Scripps College Humanities Institute.

Nov 14–15 Professor Thomason is hosting the ENAKS meeting/conference.
Dec 5 - Professor Picascia is presenting a paper on doubt in Indian philosophy at the Columbia University Seminar on Comparative Philosophy.
Dec 12–14 Professor Berinstein is coordinating a conference "The Subjective Dimension of Experience" at the University of Pittsburgh.
Professor Berinstein's paper “Accounting for Tastes: On the Epistemic Significance of Affective Character” was accepted to Philosophical Studies.
