Our members provide a communication link between Swarthmore families and the College, helping the College to better understand the needs of Swarthmore families.  Additionally, Family Ambassadors serve on one more or of the following committees.

New Family Welcome Team
Welcome new families to the Swarthmore community through regional and on-campus events and individual outreach. Help new families get engaged with College events and possibly volunteer. Create a sense of community among Swarthmore families.

Career Ambassadors
Provide career expertise and foster networking between students and families of students, particularly through SwatLink. Collaborate with the offices of Career Services and the Center for Innovation and Leadership on innovative programming.

Resources and Connections Ambassadors
Connect families to helpful people and resources at every stage of their Swarthmore experience. Highlight important resources and events in newsletters and on social media. Recommend, and occasionally develop, new resources.

First Generation and Low Income (FLI) Ambassadors
Help families, especially first-generation and low-income families, to feel welcome at Swarthmore and all Family Ambassador events. Help the College better understand the needs of FLI families.
