A play by Sarah DeLappe. Directed by faculty member Alex Torra.

Before every game, the Wolves warm up. From within the comfortable routine of passing drills, stretches, and orange slices, a girl’s indoor soccer team find themselves gossiping, facing anxieties, getting into messy fights, and tumbling into heavy topics they only partly understand. Named one of the best plays of 2016 by The New York Times and a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, The Wolves is a hilarious and moving glimpse into the lives of these ferocious young athletes as they navigate growing up in our world, wrestling with their true selves, and learning what it really means to be a part of the team.

“I wanted to see a portrait of teenage girls as human beings - as complicated, nuanced, very idiosyncratic people who weren’t just girlfriends or sex objects or manic pixie dream girls but who were athletes and daughters and students and scholars and people who were trying actively to figure out who they were in this changing world around them. ”

—Sarah DeLappe
