Michael Dukakis '55 on Presidential Politics
Michael S. Dukakis '55 spoke to a large LPAC crowd on Constitution Day about this year's historic presidential campaign and what is at stake. During his talk and a lively question and answer session, he discussed the candidates and a wide range of issues including civil liberties, health care, the economy, immigration, and the war, as well as the importance of grassroots organizing. He also shared memories of his undergraduate days at the College and lessons learned over the course of his political career. Now a political science professor, Dukakis exhorted students to pursue careers in public service, adding, "You'll never regret it."
