Message from Maintenance

This storm has caused some minor flooding in buildings and we are sandbagging entry points where we anticipate there could be additional problems. Please report leaks as they happen and be prepared to use a trash can or other container to catch the water. We have plastic sheeting and tarps on hand. Maintenance will have personnel on hand into the early evening on Monday to monitor conditions.

All buildings have back up power for life safety systems, but that does not extend to power outlets in rooms. If the power does go off, it is generally a PECO problem that they need to resolve.

The water tank behind the Science Center contains 250,000 gallons of water. While it is less likely that there will be a water emergency, there is the potential that a toppled tree could pull a main apart, causing a water emergency. If there is a sudden loss of water pressure please report it.
