Prof. Lynne Schofield's talk examines public reaction to the proposed changes to Pennsylvania's K-12 high-stakes assessment policy. She and her students examine the characteristics of different school districts, individuals' roles within a school district, and the trends of opposition or support for new testing policies.  Schofield received her M.A. and Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University.

Second Tuesday Science Cafe events are geared for individuals who have no formal science background. The only requirements are curiosity about science and a willingness to learn about new concepts.  Science Cafe has been made possible with funding and administrative support from the College's Institute for the Liberal Arts.
