Class of 2027 hold candles during first collection

When it comes to Swarthmore traditions, nothing can quite hold a candle to the magic of First Collection. During the event, members of the incoming class come together in the Scott Outdoor Amphitheater and participate in the candle-lighting and hand-shaking rituals. First Collection is a rite of passage and the official beginning of the students' time at the College. Below are images from the Class of 2027's First Collection held on September 2.
