David Kennedy '80

At the 2011 Commencement, President Rebecca Chopp bestowed upon acclaimed criminiologist David Kennedy '80 the degree of Doctor of Laws. "I genuinely believe that the habits of mind," he said, "the fundamental orientation, that was bred into me personally at home, and honed here at Swarthmore College, are central to why we have been able to make our way."
