I am writing my dissertation on the nature of reasoning (principally practical reasoning). I do not use math directly, but my account of the nature of reasoning is deeply informed by all of the mathematical reasoning I once did! My Swarthmore mathematics education also taught me to appreciate elegant arguments of all kinds and to formulate them carefully.
