Internship Program

The List Gallery Internship Program introduces selected juniors and seniors to varied curatorial skills, principles, and practices. Interns become familiar with diverse aspects of gallery management through visiting artists' studios, planning exhibitions, writing grant proposals and press releases, and assisting with the installation of exhibitions. Interns also help document exhibitions, develop educational outreach, and organize public events.

Each semester, interns are responsible for designing and implementing at least one independent or collaborative project that makes gallery exhibitions more accessible to new audiences. List Gallery Director Andrea Packard and Exhibitions Manager and Assistant Curator Tess Wei mentor interns’ collaborative and individual projects. Past internship projects include creating an interactive exhibition website, writing and designing catalogs, leading gallery talks, giving art workshops, and producing interpretive videos.
