Karim Abdel-Motaal '90

Abdel-Motaal, of London, England, is the founder of APQ Partners LLP, a financial service that focuses on emerging markets in Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. Previously, he was the co-head of the emerging markets business for GLG Partners LLP and Morgan Stanley, while also working for Tudor Capital and JP Morgan.

An Egyptian and Swiss national, Abdel-Motaal holds a B.A. with high honors in economics from Swarthmore and a Master’s and Ph.D. in economics from Harvard. He and his spouse, Raya, have two children: Hana and Nour.
