Watch: Brad Davidson '90

During his SwatTalk, Assistant Professor of Developmental Biology Brad Davidson ’90 discussed the emergence of the chordate heart, surveying some of his recent discoveries and highlight current student questions and projects. Research in Davidson’s lab focuses on the genetic, embryological, and evolutionary origins of heart tissue. Using sea squirts, man’s closest invertebrate relatives, he investigates fundamental aspects of heart formation.
