Explore Swarthmore - Hormel-Nguyen Intercultural Center Overview

From the coffee and tea station that greets visitors to the community-building kitchen, lounge seating, and blankets in front of the fireplace, the IC is one of the most welcoming and soothing places on campus.

The Hormel-Nguyen Intercultural Center (IC) provides programs and services that support the personal and intellectual development of Asian American, Latinx, multiracial, Native American, queer (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender), low-income, and first-generation college students, among others, and promotes systemic change across the institution by fostering community-building and collaboration among diverse groups within and outside of the College. It is also home to the Interfaith Center and the International Student Center. The IC works closely with the Women’s Resource Center, which welcomes all genders and hosts discussions and events concerning women and gender equity.
