Jennifer Marks-Gold serves as the Assistant Dean and Director of International Student Programs at Swarthmore College, where she has also held the role of Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) for the past 16 years. She supports a diverse international student population, including non-immigrants, dual citizens, permanent residents, Americans living abroad, and undocumented students.
Jennifer is Swarthmore’s liaison to the Davis United World College Scholars Program and has visited several UWC campuses. She was nominated for the Suzanne P. Welsh Award, which honors staff members who demonstrate outstanding service and commitment to the Swarthmore community.Additionally, the International Student Center (ISC) received the 2025 DoSA Committee Choice Award in appreciation of its contributions to the Division of Student Affairs
An active contributor to the field, Jennifer has presented at both national and regional NAFSA conferences on immigration, cultural adjustment, and diversity. She co-led a seminar titled “How to Advocate for Undocumented Students on Your Campus: Steps and Resources” and has presented to the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) on student visa regulations and international education concerns.
She holds a B.S. from Drexel University, an M.Ed. from Cabrini University, and a Professional Development Certificate in Cultural Diplomacy and International Relations from the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin, Germany.
