Welcome to a new academic year — one unlike anything we’ve experienced in the College’s 156-year history.
I’d like to extend a special welcome to our newest community members — those joining the faculty and staff, as well as our new students, including 373 first-year and 24 transfer students. I appreciate how challenging it must be to adjust to a new environment right now, but please know that we are delighted that you’re here — even if virtually — and we very much look forward to getting to know you.
I hope you will make time to watch this video in which I provide updates on a number of ongoing initiatives, and share why — despite our current circumstances — I remain optimistic about the future. If you’d prefer, you may read a transcript of my remarks instead.
Take care of yourselves and each other. I wish you all the best for a successful academic year.
