Festival of Light Tomorrow at 4:30 p.m.

President Valerie Smith sent the following message to the community on December 6, 2016.

Dear Students, Staff, and Faculty,

I invite everyone to attend the last Collection of the semester tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. in Upper Tarble. As I noted last week, the ceremony will explore the symbolism of light through student group performances and opportunities for individual reflection.

The hour will end with a candle-lighting ceremony and a procession to McCabe Library. In the entryway of McCabe, there will be a large mural where people can write notes about hope and light as a step toward re-claiming the space that has been violated by hateful graffiti.

I hope you will join this inspiring event and find joy, strength, and support in one another as the semester comes to a close and reading period begins.
