Peter Temin '59 is the Elisha Gray II Professor of Economics Emeritus at MIT. Temin graduated with honors from Swarthmore in 1959 before earning his Ph.D. at MIT in 1964. Since then, he has published several books on American economic history and is one of the most widely cited economic historians in the country. The lecture is cosponsored by the Departments of Economics and Classics.
