MOCEAN
MOCEAN, the most recent dance video choreographed, videographed, and performed by Associate Professor of Dance Kim Arrow, was recently screened at the III São Carlos Videodanca International Dance Film Festival in San Carlos, Brazil. Shot mostly under the sea off Australia's Great Barrier Reef, MOCEAN evokes drift, shapeshift, and shared movement with various forms and the creatures that inhabit those forms. An accomplished dancer and choreographer, Arrow is the recipient of two Fulbright Fellowships and a Pew Fellowship in the Arts for choreography, among other awards. Arrow's dance video work has been screened at international dance film festivals worldwide. He joined Swarthmore's faculty in 1991 where, among other courses, he teaches a course in dance videography, and is director of Swarthmore Taiko.
