Men's swimmer Travis Pollen '12, an above-knee amputee who earlier this year became an American record holder and national champion, is featured in the latest episode of Comcast SportsNet's 'Net Impact Philly. The profile of Pollen, a physics major from Elkins Park, Pa., began airing on Sept. 3 and continues throughout the month.
Pollen's incredible accomplishments in the pool, which include breaking the six-year-old paralympic S9 American record in the 100-yard freestyle and capturing the national championship in the S9 classification 50-meter freestyle, have already been covered by Sports Illustrated and Philadelphia's NBC affiliate.
