Swarthmore Athletics Launches New Website

The new site includes live video, real-time statistics, and biographies of players and coaches.

The Swarthmore Physical Education and Athletics Department has a new online home that will better feature student athletes and serve the needs of visitors. Garnet fans will now be able to find statistics posted in real time and experience a richer display of stories, photographs, and video. The site also includes video biographies of players and coaches as well as archived highlights of past contests.

"We're very excited about the enhancements that this site offers to our programming," says Director of Physical Education and Athletics Adam Hertz. "From live video to improved methods of recording statistics and publishing stories, the site promises higher quality and speed for all of our online fans."

The site also features a section on history and traditions, and a "Show Us Your S" section that includes pictures of athletes and fans proudly wearing their Garnet gear around the globe. Garnet fans are asked to share photos of themselves sporting an 'S' or any Garnet gear, with the best photos posted on the site beginning March 2011.
