The work of peace activist, feminist, and photographer Dorothy Marder will be on display at the Kitao Gallery later this month in an exhibit curated by Bess Matlock '12.  An opening reception will take place Feb. 26 at 5 p.m.

"Dorothy Marder was a gifted photographer who strove to portray the 'real' story of the Vietnam War protests, Women's Liberation movement, anti-nuclear demonstrations, and gay pride parades she photographed," says Matlock, from Atlanta, Ga.  "I find that her photographs have both captured compelling moments of history and are beautiful works of art. The exhibit is a chance to showcase a small fraction of the art housed in the Peace Collection, and a chance for others to share Dorothy Marder's powerful art."
