Lauren Stokes '09, a double major in history and German studies from Mountain Lakes, N.J., has two pieces, a short story and a poem, in a new anthology, We Are Quiet, We Are Loud: The Best Young Writers and Artists in America (PUSH, 2008). Selections were chosen from more than 1,000 submissions from around the country.  more

At Swarthmore, in addition to her duties as editor-in-chief at the Daily Gazette, Lauren serves as a Sexual Health Counselor and is a member of the Kitao Gallery Board and the Presidential Search Committee. She is also the author of Honors Denglish, a blog that chronicles her study abroad experiences in Germany last spring.
