Daily Gazette Honored by

The Daily Gazette, Swarthmore's online student news source, received two awards this fall from the Associated Collegiate Press.  As a 2008 Online Pacemaker winner, the Gazette represents the only college among the four other winners in the magazine/broadcast/online-only category, as well as the only site to represent a school without a journalism program. In addition, the Gazette was named one of five Best of Show winners in the publication web site category.

"It was thrilling to make a strong showing," says Gazette editor-in-chief Miles Skorpen '09, a political science major from New York, N.Y. "The award really made me feel like all of our planning, coding, and designing had paid off."  more
