As the final project for his journalism class, Miles Skorpen '09, an Honors political science major from New York, N.Y., wrote about three recent Swarthmore graduates who joined the military. One, Sean Barney '98, received a Purple Heart (left) after being injured in Iraq.  Miles' story recently appeared in the Daily Gazette, where he serves as co-editor.
