Marissa Davis '08 Opens
Children's Library in New Orleans

Marissa Davis '08, a history major from Kingston, Jamaica, used funding from the College's Lang Center for Civic and Social Responsibility this summer to establish a children's library in the New Orleans neighborhood of Algiers. Her efforts have been praised by New Orleans City Council and have garnered extensive media attention in the city, including in the Times-Picayune and the Gambit Weekly.
