Rachel Ackoff '07, who graduated in June with a degree in political science and religion, talks about her successful efforts both on campus and off on behalf of clean energy in the July/August issue of Sierra, the magazine of the Sierra Club.
"Students recognize that we're at a critical point and that there has been a lack of political will to do anything big on these issues," says Ackoff, a 2006 Truman Scholar. "We recognize that something has to be done in the next couple of years or the effects of global warming could be irreversible. It's our generation that will be feeling the impacts the most. We see it as the challenge of our generation. It's our turn."
