Pew Fellowship Awarded to Swarthmore Composer

Jane Lang Professor of Music Gerald Levinson is one of just 12 Philadelphia-area artists to receive a 2007 Pew Fellowship in the Arts. A member of Swarthmore's faculty since 1977, his vocal, chamber, and orchestral works have been widely performed in the U.S., France, and England, and in 1990 he received the Music Award of the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
