National Survey on Student Engagement

The National Survey on Student Engagement (NSSE), like the CSEQ, is a product of the Center for Postsecondary Research & Planning at Indiana University. It is a relatively a new national survey which has received a lot of press, because it claims to measure the kinds of things that the higher education community values most — behaviors which reflect the engagement of students in the learning process.

Swarthmore participated in the Web-based version of this survey of first-year and senior students in the Spring of 2005.
