An Ode to Bio II page 3

owards the end of the semester, we took a trip to Longwood Gardens for our lab. We split into groups of five and went with an instructor to tour the gardens. As we passed by the incredibly photogenic flora, we discussed the phylogeny of land plants and how each had undergone and are undergoing speciation and adaptation. We brought together material learned from at least 10 different lectures and were able to see how what we had learned in the classroom actually occurred in plants.
