Marie Inniss ’23 directs an all-Black cast in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic fairy tale musical. Originally written in 1957 as a vehicle for Julie Andrews, the show was remade as a film in 1997 with Brandy Norwood as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as the Fairy Godmother. Don’t miss Swarthmore students singing unforgettable songs like “In My Own Little Corner”, “Impossible; It’s Possible”, and “Do I Love You Because You’re Beautiful?” This iconic modern musical updates the message of the Cinderella story, showing us a princess who believes in magic, but also makes her own dreams come true.
