Student Tutors and Mentors
Each semester, students can sign up to be paid academic tutors in Arabic, and they can sign up to receive 1 weekly hour of free tutoring in Arabic language classes.
To sign up to be or get a tutor, reach out directly to the Admin Assistant for the program (Razan Idris ridris1@swarthmore.edu) who will correspond with the Arabic faculty and section head.
The Arabic program's students also often sign up to be Student Academic Mentors (SAMs) teaching "skills necessary for academic success at Swarthmore such as time management, organization, study strategies, and reading techniques." We encourage students to both sign up for and find mentorship through this program hosted by Office of Academic Success.
