Meeting Minutes for January 19, 2011

Attendance:

Mary Marissen convened the meeting at 9:30 a.m. in the Scheuer Room.

Staff Development Week

Sharmaine LaMar reports Staff Development Week was well attended. In general staff feedback was good. If anyone has any additional feedback, please email Sharmaine: slamar1@swarthmore.edu

Pets in the Workplace

Melanie Young and Ben Berger are setting up a process to review the issues. The goal is not to debate whether a concern is legitimate but to review the issues at hand and find a way to mitigate them. Data collection hasn’t started yet, but if anyone wants to contribute to the identification of issues, please send Melanie an email: myoung1@swarthmore.edu

SAC Lunch: Financial Aid Q&A

SAC is sponsoring a Financial Aid Q&A on Tuesday, February 22 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM in the Scheuer Room. Laura Talbot will be on hand to talk about how Swarthmore’s Tuition Grant Benefit may impact your dependant's Financial Aid process and answer related questions. Please feel free to bring your lunch.

Being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:30am.

Next meeting will be in February 16, 2011.
