Young Alumni Ambassadors Program

YAAP gathering during Garnet Weekend

Greetings from the Young Alumni Ambassadors Program, lovingly referred to as YAAP. YAAP started in 2019 as a group for Swarthmore young alumni — i.e. graduates of the last 14 years. Since then, it has grown into a leadership volunteer group whose members work collaboratively with the Alumni & Family Programs team to cultivate meaningful engagement opportunities for young alumni and nurture a culture of leadership, connection, and belonging within Swarthmore’s young alumni community.

Recent projects and events include:

  • Financial literacy workshops for young alumni
  • Virtual panels and events
  • Gatherings during Garnet Weekend
  • Workshops during Alumni Weekend
  • Regional events, happy hours,  and meet-ups

If you’re interested in getting involved as a volunteer or by attending events in your city, on campus, or online, contact staff liaison Dee Butler-Simms (dbutler1@swarthmore.edu).
