- October 3, 2024: RA Union Bargaining Session
College and OPEIU with RA representatives met to resume negotiation discussions about the outstanding proposals and counter proposals, and tentatively agreed all remaining proposals: Union Rights, Management Rights, Just Cause, Discipline and Discharge, Grievance and Arbitration, Compensation, and Duration of Agreement. In the coming days, the parties will finalize details and after ratification of the CBA by Resident Assistants and execution by the parties, the CBA will take effect. - September 6, 2024: RA Union Bargaining Session
College and OPEIU with RA representatives met to resume negotiation discussions about the proposals and counter proposals, and tentatively agreed to the following proposals: Work Continuity, Non-Discrimination, Term of Appointment, Work Schedules, Time Away from Service, Separability,, and Generally Applicable Policies and Procedures. The College will provide the Union with a counterproposal for the remaining articles that have been previously proposed by no later than September 27. The next Bargaining session is scheduled for October 3. - August 7, 2024: RA Union Bargaining Session
College and OPEIU with RA representatives met over Zoom to resume negotiation discussions about the proposals and counter proposals, and tentatively agreed to the Shop Stewards and Resident Assistant Advisory Committee proposals. There were productive discussions about several other proposals that will be addressed in the upcoming bargaining session. The next Bargaining session is scheduled for September 6. - May 13, 2024: RA Union Bargaining Session
Following OPEIU's delayed arrival to the meeting by an hour and half, College and OPEIU with RA representatives met to resume negotiation discussions. OPEIU presented College representatives with a collective bargaining agreement that it reached pertaining to RAs at another higher education institution. College representatives will take OPEIU's newly proposed agreement under advisement. The College preliminarily stated that it would consider the monetary amount described in the Union's newly proposed agreement. The parties agreed to next meet virtually on June 6, 2024 and then on June 27, 2024. However, each meeting was canceled by the parties. Bargaining sessions were expected to resume later in the summer. After previous cancellations by the parties , they have scheduled the next bargaining session for August 7. - April 22, 2024: RA Union Bargaining Session
Following OPEIU's delayed arrival to the meeting by 25 minutes, College and OPEIU with RA representatives met to resume negotiation discussions about the proposals and counter proposals, and tentatively agreed to Health and Safety, Emergencies and Natural Disasters, and Recognition proposals. The parties agreed to meet again on May 13, 2024. - April 8, 2024: RA Union Bargaining Session
College and OPEIU with RA representatives met to resume negotiation discussions about the proposals and counter proposals, and tentatively agreed to a Union Access proposal. The parties tentatively agreed to an Entire Agreement proposal via email on March 19, 2024. The parties agreed to meet again on April 22, 2024. - March 4, 2024: RA Union Bargaining Session
College and OPEIU with RA representatives met to resume negotiation discussions, but the session was ended early by the Union. No tentative agreements of the Union’s initial nine proposals were reached. No subsequent meeting was set during the meeting. - February 12, 2024: RA Union First Bargaining Session
College representatives met with the OPEIU, Local 153 representative along with a group of the Resident Assistants to open negotiations for a collective bargaining agreement by discussing the Union’s initial set of proposals. No tentative agreements of the Union’s initial proposals were reached. No subsequent meeting was set during the meeting.
