Thomas Hartnett '94

Thomas Hartnett ’94 serves as managing director, Co-Head of Global Markets, and Head of Americas & EMEA Fixed Income at Mizuho Securities. Earlier in his career, he was a managing director at Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers and began his career in financial services in 1999. He previously served on the board of SIFMA and on selected financial industry committees. Before entering finance, he was a senior engineer with EME Group.

Hartnett earned a B.S. in engineering from Swarthmore and an MBA from Columbia University in 1999. At Swarthmore, he was appointed to Sigma Xi, the scientific research society, and served as a volunteer firefighter with the Swarthmore Fire & Protective Association. He resides in New York City with his wife and two children. Their daughter is a member of the Class of 2026.
