Nicole O'Dell Odim '88

Odim is the sole proprietor of a news service who has produced stories for numerous national and international media outlets. Since beginning her career in journalism 12 years ago, she has worked as an assignment reporter, anchor, broadcast news producer, and contributed to the BBC’s Pulitzer Prize-winning documentary Bad Medicine. In addition to her professional work, she has served as a member of the advisory committee of the Junior League of Brooklyn, the board of the Dodge YMCA, and recently completed three years of service to Swarthmore's Alumni Council.

Odim graduated from Swarthmore with a B.A. in political science and a concentration in economics. She also earned an M.S. in biology at New York University and an M.S. from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband Onuoha Odim '85 and three daughters: Rebecca, Wrenn, Chinyere ’17.
