50th Reunion Check-In

The Class of 1975 may check in at Parrish Hall, Shane Student Lounge, during the following hours:

  • Thursday, May 29  from 11 a.m.–10 p.m.
  • Friday, May 30 from 8 a.m.–11:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 31 from 8 a.m.–11:30 p.m.

Thursday Arrivals

We welcome the 50th reunion class to campus beginning on Thursday, May 29. Check-in is open in Parrish Hall, Shane Student Lounge from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. All other arrivals are scheduled for Friday. If you are not in the 50th reunion class and are arriving early, we recommend making a reservation at a local hotel.

Friday and Saturday Arrivals

On Friday and Saturday, all-alumni check-in is in Parrish Hall, Shane Student Lounge from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Late Arrivals

If you have reserved on-campus housing but will arrive when check-in is closed, you may pick up your room key(s) from Public Safety, which is temporarily located in Bond Memorial Hall. Please notify events@swarthmore.edu or 610-328-7332 if you anticipate a late arrival.

Luggage Drop-off

If you drive to campus, we recommend leaving your luggage in your car upon arrival. Staff will let you know the best place to unload your luggage and park depending on your residence hall assignment. If you need assistance shuttling you and your luggage to your residence hall, a limited number of golf carts will be available. Driven by student workers, these carts are intended for alumni with limited mobility. Call 610-328-7332 to request a golf cart.

Campus Construction

Swarthmore is in the midst of a transformative period, and there are a number of ongoing construction projects across campus. In light of these projects, you will see construction fencing on campus and paths may be diverted. Alumni Weekend Customer Service and Registration

The customer service desk is located in Parrish Hall, Shane Student Lounge and open during the following hours:

  • Thursday: 11 a.m.–10 p.m. (50th Reunion only)
  • Friday: 8 a.m.–11:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m.–11:30 p.m.
  • Sunday: 7:30 a.m.–1 p.m. (open for dorm key and OneCard return only)

When Alumni Weekend headquarters is closed, please direct your questions to Public Safety at 610-328-8281.

Changes to Chester Road

If you haven't been to campus in a while, you will notice there is now a traffic circle on Chester Road (Route 320) south of the SEPTA underpass. Pay close attention to the new traffic pattern.

Parking

Five lots are available for general Alumni Weekend parking. All lots are accessible from Chester Road (Route 320) and are clearly marked with directional signs. Parking is available on Field House Lane, in the Cunningham lot (on College Avenue across Route 320), Benjamin West lotWhittier lot, and DuPont lot (near the water tower). Electric vehicle charging stations are available, and we ask guests to limit their charging time to two hours. 

Additional Parking for Campus Housing

Alumni staying on-campus may park in the student parking lot next to the SEPTA station on Chester Road. To access this lot, you must have a OneCard (electronic key card). You will receive a OneCard during check-in.

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking spaces are available throughout campus in all parking areas. Only vehicles with state-issued accessible parking placards and/or license plates can park in these spaces; all others will be towed.
