Performances

CANCELLED: Saturday, March 28 at 4 p.m.

In the interest of the well-being of the entire Swarthmore community, President Valerie Smith announced on March 11 a number of measures to reduce the number of people on campus while minimizing the impact on the execution of our academic mission. You can read more about those measures and find answers to frequently asked questions on this website.

As part of these efforts, and in the interest of social distancing, in-person College events are limited to no more than 25 participants in the same physical space, effective March 15 through at least Sunday, April 5. This includes College-sponsored events that are hosted off-campus. It is possible that additional events beyond this timeframe may change or be canceled.

Given these restrictions, the Gospel Choir rehearsal on March 27 and concert on March 28 have been cancelled.

We are profoundly saddened to have to share this news; the College did not easily arrive at these decisions, and we recognize the disruption they will bring. But foundational to our shared sense of community is the way in which we care for one another. Considering the extraordinary circumstances before us, and in the interest of the well-being of our students, faculty, and staff, we feel a deep responsibility to do what we can to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 — both across campus and beyond.

Thanks for your understanding and willingness to be of assistance! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions or concerns.
