Feb 20, 2018 SAC meeting minutes

In attendance:  Diane Fritz, Carl Benner, Lauri Courtenay, Pamela Harris, Nabil Kashyap, Pam Borkowski-Valentin, Julie DiPietro, Trish Tancredi, Luis Alvarez, Lynn Grady, Meg Gebhard, Pamela Prescod Caesar, Domenic Porrini

Carl Benner – new member from South Circle – was introduced to group.

Upcoming events:

                                    Spring All Staff – Thurs, March 29, 10:30 am – 12:00 noon

                                                Domenic – Opening remarks

                                                Val – Welcome remarks

                                                David McElhinny – Susan Welsh Award presentation

                                                Ernie Wright/Alice Turbiville – Budget Update

                                                TBA – Campaign Update

Val Smith will be at the March SAC meeting.  We discussed topic ideas: SAC accomplishments (Open House), ways to unite different groups on campus (faculty, staff, students), etc.

                        Reach out to different groups to encourage interaction – affinity groups?

                        Circle sponsored events – mechanical room tours (South Circle), Martin                                        greenhouse tour (Lang Circle), book making or a reading group (Scott Circle)

Meghan Gebhard’s term on SAC is ending; she is reaching out to her Circle members, especially new employees

Diane Fritz’s term officially ends this year; she is willing to stay on for another term if no on expresses interest from her Circle

There IS a bike rack on the Post Office side of the building.
