Yulia Kim (Ph.D., Columbia University, 2025) is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Russian in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. She is a literary theorist and scholar of twentieth-century Russian literature. Her current book project, Violence as Device: The Poetics and Politics of Russophone Literary Culture, explores the relationship between literary form, power, and violence in Soviet and contemporary Russophone contexts.
