Women’s Swimming Captures Fifth Straight Conference Title
In addition to its five consecutive CC titles, the women's swimming team has not lost a conference dual meet in the last five seasons, compiling a 34-0 record.
The 15th-ranked Swarthmore College women's swimming team captured its fifth consecutive Centennial Conference (CC) title on Sunday afternoon, overtaking Johns Hopkins University with a CC record-setting time in the final event of the meet, the 400 free relay.
It was the seventh team championship in program history, passing Ursinus College for the second most in conference annals.
Quinn Weygandt ’26 continued to cement her legacy as one of the top swimmers in conference history, being chosen Most Outstanding Performer for the third straight season. Weygandt wrapped up her final championship meet with a gold medal in the 200 butterfly for the third consecutive year, and also earned gold in the 200 and 400 individual medleys, setting a conference record in the former and completing a clean sweep of both events for her career. Weygandt was also a member of the top-placing 400 and 800 free relay teams.
The Garnet will now prepare for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, which will take place from March 18 to 21 in Indianapolis. Swarthmore is looking to improve on last year's 10th-place finish and has a handful of swimmers in position to qualify for the meet. Selections will be announced on Friday.
