Update Regarding Storm Impact

Updated 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012

With power restored and all of our systems now stabilized, the College will reopen tomorrow and classes will resume. Staff should report to work at their normal times.

McCabe, Underhill and Cornell libraries will all reopen tonight at 8 p.m. McCabe will remain open until 2 a.m., Underhill and Cornell will close at 1 a.m.

Effective tomorrow, the health center, dining hall, the fitness center, and libraries will all resume normal operating hours.

If you have classes at Bryn Mawr, you may wish to check their website to make sure classes will be held Wednesday. As of now, their power has still not been restored. University of Pennsylvania and Haverford are resuming a normal schedule tomorrow. Beginning tomorrow, Tri-College and Swarthmore shuttles will run on a normal schedule.

It is now safe to move around campus during daylight, but please be very careful as we are still cleaning up some branches and debris and the fallen leaves have created slippery conditions.

A nurse is on call who can be reached by calling Public Safety (610) 328-8333 for emergencies and (610) 328-8281 for general business.

RAs will be in contact with their residents about any additional activities that may occur this evening in the residences.

Members of the College community are urged to continue to monitor email for updates and to check the College website, www.swarthmore.edu
