Wayfinding for Blind and Low Vision Travelers

This wayfinding service is designed to assist blind and low vision travelers in becoming familiar with walking routes on campus, and to navigate desired routes with the support of an accessible narrative mapping system. Over 100 detailed route directions have been compiled in a searchable database.

Handicapped Parking

Handicapped parking spaces are located in the Dupont Parking Lot, on College Avenue near Parrish Hall, and in front of Clothier Hall. Only vehicles with special accessibilities placards and/or license plates can park in the designated areas; all others will be towed. View a campus map of accessible parking and pathways [pdf] or view accessible paths on an interactive campus map.

If you require assistance from a parking area to campus, there will be students posted by "Campus Transportation Assistance" signs and they will summon a golf cart for you.

Assistance for the Hearing Impaired

Assistive listening devices are available for many Alumni Weekend events, including Alumni Collection. Lang Performing Arts Center, Lang Concert Hall, Bond Hall, Scheuer Room in Kohlberg Hall, and the lecture halls in Science Center are all equipped with assistive listening systems. Student workers will be stationed outside all venues where assistive listening devices are available. Please plan on leaving an ID and phone number as a deposit.
