Tejas Sarna ’25

I'm currently a medical student at the University of Rochester in western New York (Go Bills). I'm in my preclinical years, which means I'm doing more memorization than problem solving these days. Still, experiences in courses like Real Analysis have given me the confidence that, with enough time, I'll be able to understand a disease process or medical concept, no matter how complex it seems initially. That's one of the reasons math is great preparation for a variety of careers, on top of just being a lot of fun! After medical school, I'm currently planning to pursue a residency in General Surgery.
