In my research laboratory, we develop high resolution techniques for determining the structure and dynamic properties of molecules that bind to biological membranes. The traditional methods of high resolution structure determination have proven difficult or inapplicable for membrane-bound molecules and there is great interest in developing new methods for studying this important class of molecules. The primary instrumental techniques we use include nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy.

My teaching responsibilities include Physical Chemistry, General Chemistry and advanced seminars in Spectroscopy and Biophysical Chemistry.
