Timely Warning Notices

The Federal Clery Act requires that colleges with a campus public safety agency must, in a manner that is timely and will aid in the prevention of similar crimes, report to the campus community crimes that fall into certain categories and that are considered by the institution to represent a continuing threat to the campus community.  The Department of Public Safety refers to these notices as "Timely Warning Notifications."  This Timely Warning Notification is issued according to this requirement.  Not every instance of a Clery crime represents a continuing threat to the community and therefore Timely Warning Notifications are not issued in every instance of a Clery crime on or near the campus.
